What is Home Energy Score

The U.S. Department of Energy’s Home Energy Score assess the energy efficiency of a home based on its structure and heating, cooling, and hot water systems. The Average Home Score is 5, homes with score below 5 have higher energy use than 50% of the homes, homes with scores above 5 use less energy.
